Adequate rest and immunity go hand in hand. And where rest is concerned, there are things besides getting
enough sleep that we can do as part of our daily routines to help strengthen our immunity. Activities like
yoga, meditation, forest bathing, hiking, and spending time in nature can help lower your cortisol level,
leave you feeling more balanced and less anxious, and provide the much-needed rest your mind needs.
Make time on your vacation to slow down and rest. Start a new hobby, watch a documentary, and curl up with a
good book. Allow yourself to slow down and listen to what your body needs. Most importantly, having good
hygiene habits can make a big difference in how well your immune system works. Think about cleaning your
home and workspace often and adding an air purifier to filter the air around you.
3. Nourish your body with fermented and gut-healthy foods.
Food plays a role in making sure that our organs are healthy and working well. When possible, eating organic
and colorful foods helps our immune system. Diets that reduce inflammation are also recommended by
nutritionists to improve gut health since most of our immune cells live in the gut.
Leafy greens, chickpeas, turmeric, and chia seeds are all good for your gut, just like beets, kimchi,
