The difficulty of finding time to exercise is a modern problem that many people face. 1. Start small
When you’re just starting out, it can be tempting to try and do everything at once. However, you may end up
overdoing it and straining your muscles instead. Learn to take it slow and consider finding a movement that
is easy, like walking or stretching when you first begin. Besides being accessible, these light exercises
can be done anywhere and they don’t cost you anything. If it feels intimidating, consider taking along a pet
or a friend during your walk. You can also look for stretching or restorative yoga poses on Youtube. The
options are limitless!
2. Make a workout mix
Music is powerful so don’t forget to include songs from your favorite band or singer and make sure to
include some upbeat tunes. You’ll be surprised at how much happier and more energized you feel listening to

3. Try new classes
There’s no better way to find something you love than to experiment with different movements. Look up for
classes at the local gym or sign-up for trials at a fitness boutique in your neighborhood. If you love to
dance, you might enjoy Zumba or barre. If you prefer high-energy classes, kickboxing or spin classes might
be up your alley versus Pilates. You don’t have to join the latest workout trend or force yourself to do
activities you hate, find something that resonates with you and your body.
4. Take it outside
Change your routine, if you’ve been slaying it in the indoor gym, consider going outside for a change. One
of the greatest benefits of heading out into the sunshine to exercise is being able to soak under the sun,
and getting vitamin D into your system. Besides improving your mood, promoting bone density, and boosting
the overall immune system, exercising outdoors has a positive impact on mental health.
5. Be patient and go easy on yourself
It is easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves with others, but this serves no one any good.
